Energy use improvements with PSE’s free home assessments | Winter Ready

Puget Sound Energy is offering free home energy assessments to help owners reduce their energy bill.

Puget Sound Energy is offering free energy assessments of homes to ensure homeowners will be warmer and have lower energy bills all winter.

A certified member of the PSE’s Energy Assessment team will help homeowners find ways to lower their energy bills and identify efficiency upgrade opportunities. Most homes can see benefits from an assessment, but older homes usually have more opportunities for possible improvements. Assessments can benefit houses of any age and, in the past, assessments have caught construction issues impactingheating bills.

During the assessment, homeowners also receive a customized summary of recommended energy efficiency upgrades, information about energy-efficient equipment rebates from PSE, contractor referrals for future energy efficiency upgrades or energy-efficient equipment installation, and general energy efficiency tips.

Homeowners can also qualify for free energy-efficient fixtures, including 30 LED light bulbs, as many as two shower heads, and as many as four water-conserving kitchen and bathroom aerators.

To qualify for an assessment, residents must be a current PSE residential electric or natural gas customer, they must live in an existing single-family property or attached housing, and they need an electronic image of the paid installation invoice or purchase receipt of installed products.

Scheduling an assessment can be done online at www.pse.com/EnergyAssessment or by phone at 855-973-1575.
