Driver nearly causes crashes before parking on sidewalk | Police blotter

Friday, Oct. 19

Juvenile Problem: Three juvenile suspects were spotted trespassing at a skate park on the 35000 block of Southeast Ridge Street. The park is blocked off and currently under construction. The suspects left the not-yet-opened park before police arrived.

Sunday, Oct. 21

Trespass: Unknown subjects were knocking on the door and ringing the doorbell of a home on Southeast Kinsey Street. The male subject was pounding on the door and the woman subject fell down while trying to open the reporting parties door. Police arrived and arrested the male subject for disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.

DUI: A suspect almost crashed into two vehicles and hit a pedestrian near the intersection of East Park Street and Healy Avenue South. The suspect parked his truck over the sidewalk and walked into an apartment complex. The reporting party talked to the suspect and said his eyes were bloodshot and he looked “completely out of it.” As of the police report, officers were knocking on the suspects door to no response and monitoring the illegally parked truck.

Tuesday, Oct. 23

Suspicious Circumstances: A reporting party reported that a subject was trying to open her front door on Douglas Avenue Southeast. The reporting party thinks the suspect was very intoxicated and believed the house to be his own. Police found no signs of forced entry and the reporting party does not want to press charges.
