Curb-side drug take-back at Snoqualmie PD

Take-back also at the Snoqualmie Fire Station and North Bend City Hall.

The City of Snoqualmie and the Snoqualmie Police Department will participate in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day with two locations this year.

The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Snoqualmie Fire Station (37600 Snoqualmie Parkway), and at North Bend City Hall (211 Main Ave. N. in North Bend).

The police department is offering a free and anonymous curb-side drop-off. It is an opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted and unused prescription and over-the-counter drugs.

Studies show most teens who abuse prescription drugs get them from family and friends for free, including from the home medicine cabinet.

Many Americans do not know the safest way to dispose of their unwanted or expired medicine, often causing safety and environmental hazards by flushing them down the toilet or throwing them in the garbage.

On an ongoing basis, residents can drop off prescription drugs at the Snoqualmie Police Department during business hours, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
