County officials to hear from residents at town hall meeting April 12 at Chief Kanim

King County officials will host a town hall meeting, 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 12 at Chief Kanim Middle School, 32627 SE Redmond-Fall City Road, Fall City.

Participants can meet their representative to the Metropolitan King County Council, Kathy Lambert, King County Sheriff John Urquhart, representatives from the county executive’s office and representatives from the county’s Department of Permitting and Environmental Review. All will be available with staff to talk about county programs and services.

Unincorporated residents of the Snoqualmie Valley are invited to attend, to discuss issues affecting the Snoqualmie Valley. The event is sponsored by the King County Community Service Area (CSA) program.

“I encourage all residents of the Valley to attend this informative meeting,” said Councilmember Lambert. “This is the time to get more information and answers to any questions about any local government issues.”

King County is the local government for unincorporated King County. In 2010, the King County Council sought a new approach for engaging with residents in unincorporated areas. With guidance from the county’s strategic plan, the county established a new framework for public engagement in unincorporated areas and created seven Community Service Areas to represent all unincorporated residents and communities.
