Blotter: Woman asks police to hold her keys until she sobers up; downed trees cause many power problems

Monday, Nov. 14

Disturbance: At 2:06 p.m., a loud argument on S.E. Reinig Road, Snoqualmie, was reported to police. Officers found the argument was a couple breaking up. There had been no physical violence.

Theft: At 7:10 p.m., police responded to a theft on Park Avenue, S.E., Snoqualmie. Plastic pots and metal shelves were taken and no information about the suspects was found.

Tuesday, Nov. 15

Welfare check: At 12:53 p.m., a transient man from Seattle sleeping in the post office on the 400 block of E. North Bend Way, North Bend, was reported to police. The man was surrounded by money and was smoking a cigarette. When police contacted him, he agreed to leave.

Citizen assist: At 1:05 p.m., an intoxicated woman called police and explained that she was on her way home to Nevada, but stopped in North Bend to drink. The woman was afraid of driving or hurting someone and called from the 400 block of S.W. Mount Si Boulevard, North Bend. Police took her keys and told her to pick them up the next day when she was sober.

Thursday, Nov. 17

Malicious mischief: At 8:39 a.m., the Snoqualmie Valley YMCA reported a case of vandalism to the police. Unknown suspects had painted a diamond on a storage shed in the 30000 block of S.E. Ridge Street, Snoqualmie.

Friday, Nov. 18

False alarm: At 6:30 a.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded to a residential automatic fire alarm on 384th Avenue S.E. After the crew arrived, dispatch reported that the call was a false alarm, caused by steam from a bathroom shower.

Power outage: At 7:12 a.m., Snoqualmie firefighters were dispatched to the Snoqualmie Parkway at Railroad Avenue S.E. for a reported transformer arcing and sparking. The crew arrived and found no problem, but noted that the power was out along Railroad Avenue S.E. past the train yard, through town.

Tree down: At 6:56 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters were dispatched to a report of a tree that had fallen into power lines, causing arcing and sparking on Tokul Road S.E. The crew arrived to find PSE working on multiple trees down, a half mile from the incident address.

Monday, Nov. 21

Structure fire: At 5:11 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters assisted Eastside Fire & Rescue units with a fire attack and control on a large outer building on a property at E. Ribary Way and S.E. 131st Street. The crew was assigned to the structure and worked to attack it from the exterior. They had it completely knocked down and under control before being released from the scene.

Medical aid: In addition, Snoqualmie EMTs responded to nine medical aid incidents, bringing the total number of calls to date to 996.
