Blotter: Engagement ring stolen from parked car; Girl injured in slow-speed rollover accident

Friday, July 14

Juvenile problem: At 3:49 a.m., police received a call from Silent Creek Avenue SE, Snoqualmie, reporting a large group of teenage boys running up and down the street, naked. When police arrived they were not able to find anyone.

Drug problem: At 10:19 a.m., police were called to the 700 block of SW Mount Si Boulevard, North Bend, after they received a report of two people asking for money. When police arrived, they found the two were asking for food money. Police bought them a meal, and the two still had enough money for gas.

Suspicious: At 8:32 p.m., two people collecting wood at a construction site on SE Hall Street, Snoqualmie, were reported to police. Officers found the two looking for scrap wood. They were advised to return the wood and get a written letter of permission from the builder before entering the site again.

Saturday, July 15

Theft: At 1:25 p.m., a purse was reported stolen from the 400 block of SW Mount Si Boulevard, North Bend. The suspects were caught on video leaving in a gold SUV. The victim called police and said they were with the vehicle at the Snoqualmie Casino parking garage. Police arrived and met with security. Police took all three suspects into custody, cited them, and released them.

Tuesday, July 18

Alcohol offense: At 6:05 p.m., two men were cited from drinking in public at the 700 block of SW Mount Si Boulevard in North Bend.

Area check: At 11:18 p.m., police were called to 468th Avenue SE, North Bend, after a report of a possible open container violation. Police arrived and found the subject with a cup of ice tea with two mini bottles of vodka poured into it. Officers issued the subject a notice of infraction for using a disguised alcohol container.

Thursday, July 20

Suspicious: At 11:34 p.m., police observed three people smoking marijuana in a truck parked on the 700 block of SW Mount Si Boulevard in North Bend. One 18-year-old was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance. The other two were cited for using marijuana in public.

Friday, July 21

Theft: At 10:33 a.m., police received a call from Si View Place SE, North Bend, reporting a 14 karat gold engagement ring had been stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Thursday, July 13

Rollover accident: At 4:36 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded to a pickup truck rollover at slow speed. A 14-year-old girl was the front passenger. She said she’d been wearing a seatbelt, but was ejected during the rollover and landed on the gravel road. She had minor abrasions and was confused about how the accident happened, but was able to stand. She was transported to an area hospital for further evaluation.

Grass fire: At 5:40 p.m., firefighters responded to a small, 10-by-10-foot grass fire.

Friday, July 14

Two alarms: At 10:20 p.m., Snoqualmie police and fire departments responded to a home with both fire and burglar alarms activated. They spoke with the resident, who said the alarms were accidentally triggered.

Monday, July 17

Brush fire: At 6:33 p.m., firefighters responded to a brush fire on Interstate-90 near milepost 33. An area of about half an acre was burned before the fire was put out.

Tuesday, July 18

Four-car collision: At 3:56 p.m., the department was called to the intersection of Interstate 90 and S.R. 18 for a four-car accident. They contacted the occupants of all the involved vehicles and found no injuries.

Lost family: At 4:01 p.m., firefighters assisted with a hasty search on the Snoqualmie River for a mother and her children. The family had been on the water for a few hours and had not been seen for some time. Snoqualmie crew members went down the river in a kayak and located the family, then assisted them in getting out of the river.

Medical aid: In addition to the above calls, Snoqualmie EMTs responded to 10 medical aid incidents, bringing the total number of calls to date to 616.
