Suspected drunk driver hits motorcycle, hospitalizes riders

A car-versus-motorcycle accident that happened Wednesday afternoon, June 21, in Fall City, sent two people to an area hospital.

According to reports, at 5:20 p.m., Sammamish residents David and Jean Rose were driving north on State Route 202 from the State Route 203 roundabout on their 2001 Honda motorcycle when Fall City resident Kayli Krein, 19, failed to yield the right of way in her 1992 Dodge four-wheel-drive. She pulled into traffic and hit the Roses in the northbound lanes.

David Rose suffered a broken femur, while Jean had internal, non-life-threatening injuries. The Roses were transported to Harborview Medical Center and Hospital in Seattle.

Krein was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and was booked into King County Jail.

The accident remains under investigation by police.
