'Recycling Superstar' to be named in Snoqualmie mayor’s challenge

The final weigh-in for citizen participants in Snoqualmie Mayor Matt Larson’s Recycling Challenge is 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22, at City Hall.

Each of the twelve households that have been participating in the month-long challenge will have their household garbage weighed for the last time.

All Snoqualmie residents are invited to this event where the winners will be rewarded with a prize and have the honor of being named “Recycling Superstars”.

Contestants will talk about their experience and strategies for increasing recycling rates at home. Contestant profiles are posted on the city Web site, www.ci.snoqualmie.wa.us.

The Recycling Challenge in Snoqualmie is part of King County’s “Recycle More. It’s Easy to Do” campaign, which encourages increased recycling among residents and businesses in King County.
