Volunteers can help the Upper Snoqualmie Valley Elk Management Group improve elk habitat at a work day, Friday, April 24, in North Bend.

The work group will assemble at the DNR parking lot behind the North Bend Ranger Station at 9 a.m. Friday, carpool to the work site, and return to the assembly site between 3 and 4 p.m.

Bring your own lunch and drinks, and sturdy work gloves. Needed equipment includes chainsaws, axes and loppers, safety shoes, eye protection and a four-wheel-drive pickup.

To learn more, call Tom Kemp at (717) 368-8121.
