North Bend City Council will consider the zoning code that would allow the construction of a hotel south of Interstate 90 at its Tuesday, March 2, meeting.
Council discussion of the hotel rules have been delayed several times since last fall. Pending discussions in February were bumped to allow sufficient time to take all public comment.
"The Feb. 16 meeting will be packed, so we moved it," said Duncan Wilson, North Bend City Administrator.
The Planning Commission heard comment last September on the code. In a stormy October 8 meeting, commissioners recommended the city adopt the code. Council action was initially delayed to allow new council members to be seated. Council members Chris Garcia and Jeanne Pederson are now seated and will be part of the discussion.
At the March 2 meeting, the council will create specific design review criteria for any such structure.
Public comments will be taken at the city council meeting and will be limited to three minutes per person.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Mount Si Senior Center, 411 Main Ave. S.
