Clean ‘08 audit for North Bend
October 13, 2009 · Updated 1:00 PM
For the 12th straight year, North Bend received a clean audit from the Washington State Auditor’s Office.
Audit results released Sept. 14 by the state showed no findings, once again, for the city.
“We are extremely proud of our entire finance team,” said Mayor Ken Hearing. “The consistent quality of our financial record keeping is a result of their dedication and hard work.”
Washington State Auditor Brian Sonntag and his office review the city’s financial records on an annual basis. Each audit evaluates the city’s fiscal health, financial statements and compliance with applicable federal, state and municipal laws, regulations and policies.
The city thanked Sonntag and his representatives for professional and thorough work in assessing North Bend records.
