Snoqualmie Mayor Matt Larson has officially proclaimed Tuesday, August 11, as “U.S. Air Force Band of the Gold West Day” in Snoqualmie.

The city hosst the U.S. Air Force Band of the Golden West at Snoqualmie Point Park on that day, in a free community concert sponsored by the Snoqualmie Parks & Recreation Department and the American Legion Chapter 79.

At the concert, Larson will read the proclamation, part of which states that “Air Force bands are teams of Air Force professionals building one the world’s most respected music programs, reaching an increasingly diverse global audience, exploiting state-of-the-art technology, and communicating Air Force excellence."

To learn more about the concert, call the city parks department at (425) 831-5784 or visit www.cityofsnoqualmie.org.
