Cooling shelters open in the Valley

With temperatures expected to reach the high 90s this week, two cooling shelters are open in Snoqualmie and North Bend.

Mount Si Senior Center, 411 Main Ave. S., North Bend. Open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., through Friday, July 31.

Church on the Ridge, 35131 S.E. Jay Ct., Snoqualmie. Open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., through Wednesday, July 29.

The Church on the Ridge is offering free movies and children’s programs, but no unattended children are allowed. Hot weather information is posted at www.ci.snoqualmie.org.
