Valley man charged as mall voyeur
July 15, 2009 · 9:35 AM
A North Bend man has been charged by King County prosecutors of taking up-skirt photos of a 12-year-old girl at a Bellevue shopping mall.
Prosecutors claim Richard Burk, 46, used a camera hidden in a pullover to photograph a girl looking at shoes at the Nordstrom Rack store in Factoria Mall on June 23.
Burk was arrested three days later when he returned to the store. According to court documents, he was carrying a digital camera glued inside a sweatshirt to permit discrete photography.
Burk has been charged with voyeurism, a felony, and released on a $5,000 bail.
He did not reply to a request for comment.
An arraignment is scheduled for Wednesday, July 15, in King County Superior Court.
