A North Bend woman was badly hurt in a head-on collision involving two pick-up trucks on Tuesday evening, June 10, in the 14700 block of 436th Avenue.

The accident happened when a 2005 Dodge Ram, driven by a 51-year-old North Bend man, swerved into the path of a 2002 Chevrolet S-10 pickup, driven by a North Bend woman, according to reports from the Washington State Patrol.

The woman suffered critical injuries, and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center from a landing zone at the Cascade Golf Course.

The man suffered moderate injuries. State Troopers found no evidence of excessive speed or alcohol, but the investigation is continuing.
