Injured cyclist rescued on trail

A mountain biker lost consciousness for a brief period after falling off a trail near Snoqualmie and hitting his head on a tree Friday afternoon, according to Eastside Fire and Rescue. Emergency units from EFR and Snoqualmie Fire Department reached the man after hiking 1.5 miles from the trailhead near eastbound Exit 27 off Interstate 90.

The patient was conscious with minor injuries when firefighters reached him, according to EFR spokeswoman Josie Williams.

The patient was stabilized and transported to the hospital.

King County Search and Rescue units also responded.
