Si View Metropolitan Park District has welcomed Bud Raisio as its newest parks commissioner.

Raisio has been a long time resident of the Snoqualmie Valley and will be an asset to the park district, Si View staff stated in a news release.

Raisio, current president of the Snoqualmie Valley Youth Soccer Association, has years of experience in recreation, education and business, according to Si View.

Raisio's roles have inncluded director of Camp Waskowitz, a varsity girls basketball coach, and secondary education teacher. His experience in the community and love for the Valley should make him a strong addition to the board, Si View staff said.
