Fundraiser to help Fall City burn victim

Family and friends are raising money to help with a Fall City burn victim’s recovery. Scott Buschen suffered second and third degree burns on his arms and legs when a fire broke out Feb. 28, at his father’s Fall City shop. The 25-year-old man is expected to make a full recovery, but the process could take a year, according to his family.

Buschen had been working inside his father’s garage facility in the 5300 block of 347th Place Southeast near Fall City, when cleaning solvent ignited. He went to Harborview Medical Center with burns on 20 to 30 percent of his body, according to the Fall City Fire District.

The building was an uninsured loss, according to the district.
