Valley fire departments did their part earlier this month to collect money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association by holding their annual "Fill the Boot" campaign. Eastside Fire and Rescue Lt. Dean DeAlteriis (above) collects for his department in North Bend while Snoqualmie firefighter Steve "Handsome" Randall (below) collects near the intersection of Snoqualmie Parkway and State Route 202. The Snoqualmie department raised more than $6,400 this year and Eastside Fire and Rescue is still counting its collective total.
