On Feb. 9, the Snoqualmie Valley School District No. 410 Board of Directors formally authorized the formation of a Facilities Task Force, a 23-member group comprised of community members and school district staff. The group will analyze and submit recommendations to the board of directors concerning the district's prioritization of new construction and modernization projects, as well as the maintenance and repair of existing school district facilities.

The task force convenes for the first time on March 1 and will continue meeting for the next six months, presenting recommendations to the board by September 2006. There will be a number of community forums during this time for community members to provide input. Assistant superintendent Don McConkey will facilitate the work of the task force. Membership is appointing by the board of directors and includes members from each school community.
