Only Ridge coffee shop closes doors
October 2, 2008 · Updated 4:03 PM
Whenever Cherry Robinson visited her daughter's home in Snoqualmie, tradition included a visit to Bibo Coffee shop on Snoqualmie Ridge.
Robinson, who lives in Portland, always grabbed a coffee drink and some of Bibo's trail mix cookies for the four-hour drive home.
Robinson's jaw dropped last Friday when she saw the sign on Bibo's door announcing the shop's closure May 5.
"It's closed?" asked Robinson. "What's with that?"
Snoqualmie resident Eleisha Davis was equally surprised when she stopped by for a white chocolate mocha while running errands with friend Jenna Barnes, only to find out the shop was closed.
"It's upsetting," Davis said. "I like their coffee."
