The Snoqualmie Valley School District will be the hot local race of the 2007 election season. Board of directors incumbent Richard Krona is facing two challengers and four are vying for the seat held by Kim Horn, who is not seeking re-election.

There are no other local contested elections. Some incumbents aren't running. In Carnation, Mayor Bill Paulsen and councilmember Yvonne Funderburg aren't seeking re-election. In North Bend, councilmember Karen Tavenner is not seeking re-election and Si View Metropolitan Park District commissioners Mark Joselyn and Gardiner Vinnedge are not seeking re-election.
