Snoqualmie siren to get new life downtown

Snoqualmie's signature noon siren has a new home and is closer than ever to sounding again.

The siren, which last sounded May 9 at the now-demolished former fire hall on River Street, is posted prominently atop Mignone Interiors, a downtown business owned by Kristi Wood.

Wood had it installed on her building July 17.

Plans call for the siren to start sounding the noon whistle again when a new clock is installed.
