All three candidates for the open seat on the Snoqualmie Valley School District Board of Directors recognize the challenge that growth presents Valley schools.

Sue Korol, Kathryn Lerner and Stephne Porterfield seek the district 3 seat now held by incumbent Kim Horn, who is not seeking re-election. A fourth candidate, Cindy Sattler, pulled out of the race shortly after filing.

The three-way race will be settled in the Aug. 21 primary election. The top two vote-getters proceed to the general election Nov. 6.
