Tribe Makes bid for Salish Lodge
October 2, 2008 · Updated 3:57 PM
The Snoqualmie Tribe submitted a bid to buy Salish Lodge & Spa at Snoqualmie Falls. The Falls is central to the Tribe's culture and spiritual beliefs.
Snoqualmie Tribal Chief Jerry Enick said the bid for the lodge "just makes sense."
The Tribe hopes it will be able to acquire the lodge to protect the Falls and add the lodge as another non-gaming amenity for patrons of Casino Snoqualmie, currently under construction.
