Just by driving down Snoqualmie Parkway, you can tell something big is happening on Snoqualmie Ridge.

More than 1,800 homes big, to be precise.

Over the last month, drivers headed down the Snoqualmie Parkway to Interstate 90 were confronted with a transformed landscape where work has started for the future 350-home neighborhood now known as preliminary platt 25. That area is only one of several future residential neighborhoods, including Deer Park, The Heights, Mount Si Cottages and three unnamed parcels, where Ridge II is taking shape.

In the nearly finished first phase of the Ridge, dubbed Phase I, all residential land has been sold and a handful of homes are still left to be built. Developers have approval for up to 1,850 homes in Phase II, but can increase that number to as many as 2,150 homes by buying back two proposed school sites, if Snoqualmie Valley School District decides to part with them.
