King County Search and Rescue teams rescued two more people this past week in the Valley's vicinity.

First, volunteers rescued a lost 27-year-old Tacoma man at Gem Lake near Snoqualmie Pass.

The man had gone on a hike Sunday, Aug. 12, with a group of friends, planning to spend the night in the wilderness and see the meteor shower, Sheriff's Department spokesman Sgt. John Urquhart said. But during the afternoon while his friends were taking a nap, the man left alone to have a look around, leaving his pack behind at the campsite.
