Kathryn Lerner took a commanding lead in the school board race after the initial Aug. 21 primary election ballot count. Her lead continued to grow as ballots continued to trickle in.

As of Monday, Aug. 27 Lerner had 56.2 percent of the vote. Stephne Porterfield and Sue Korol split most of the remaining votes. Porterfield received 22.7 percent of the vote; Korol received 19.6 percent.

The top two vote-getters will face off in the Nov. 6 general election for the district no. 2 seat on the five-member Snoqualmie Valley School District No. 410 board of directors.

In that election, incumbent Richard Krona will face challenger Caroline Loudenback to represent district no. 2 on the school board and incumbent Kristy Sullivan will be unopposed for the district no. 5 seat.
