An 18-year-old North Bend woman was hospitalized Sunday after a head-on crash on state Route 202. The collision was reported just before 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, in the 8200 block of Railroad Avenue in front of the 76 station.

According to reports, former Mount Si student Corrin Kruse was traveling south on Railroad Avenue when her Jeep Cherokee struck an oncoming Nissan Armada, driven by a 43-year-old Snoqualmie woman, Kelly Austin, who had just pulled out of the gas station.

Kruse was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle due to injuries sustained in the crash. As of Oct. 2, Kruse was listed in serious condition in intensive care at Harborview. Austin was not hurt, but both vehicles were totaled, police said. The cause of the wreck is under investigation.
