North Bend seeks 'Citizen of the Year'
October 2, 2008 · Updated 3:47 PM
The city of North Bend is seeking nominations for its 2007 Citizen of the Year Award.
"This is the time where we at the city of North Bend honor the people and businesses whose hard work, spirit and dedication help make our community great,'' said Mayor Ken Hearing. This year's winner will be announced Jan. 15 at the first regular City Council meeting of 2008.
The Citizen of the Year is an individual who has gone above and beyond to make North Bend a better place to live through their professional or volunteer efforts, or a business that has made an extraordinary contribution to the community.
"We want to honor the individual or company who has also shown, through their actions, that they truly care about the community," said Duncan Wilson, city administrator.
