Teen caught in burglary, punching
October 2, 2008 · Updated 3:45 PM
Part of the Preston-Fall City Road was closed briefly early Wednesday, Dec. 12, while police searched for an intoxicated teen suspected of burgling homes in the neighborhood.
King County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of four homes broken into between 5 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 4600 and 4900 block of Preston-Fall City Road.
The suspect in the burglaries, a "very drunk" 16-year-old Fall City boy, unsuccessfully evaded deputies, according to Sheriff's Department spokesman John Urquhart. A canine unit was called to the scene, but deputies found the teen suspect before the dog and handler could go into action.
The teen, who was booked into the King County Youth Service Center awaiting possible charges including four counts of burglary and one count of assault in the second degree, did not steal anything from the homes he entered.
