Between the upcoming elections and development-related

activities, the Valley will see a wide slate of public forums and meetings over

the coming week.

Thursday night, Oct. 21, Snoqualmie City Council candidates

Carol Peterson and Marcia Korich-Vega will meet with voters in a

candidates' forum. The event is scheduled to start at 7 p.m., at the Snoqualmie

Ridge ROA office.

The same day, King County Council District 12 candidates David

W. Irons Jr., and Di Irons will participate in a forum at the Bellewood

Retirement Center in Sammamish. The Sammamish Chamber of Commerce

is hosting the forum, with refreshments at 11:30 a.m. and lunch at

noon. Attendance at the special meeting is limited to chamber members

and their guests.

Monday night, Oct. 25, the Snoqualmie City Council will start its

regularly scheduled meeting one hour early, at 6 p.m. The meeting was

moved up to allow council members to attend that night's public hearing on

the proposed Falls Crossing Development.

The Snoqualmie Planning Commission has scheduled two nights

of hearings on Falls Crossing. Both hearings will take place at

Snoqualmie Middle School; Monday's meeting (Oct. 25) starts at 7:30 p.m., while

the Tuesday, Oct. 26, hearing commences at 7 p.m.
