School board honored this month
October 2, 2008 · Updated 3:05 PM
The Snoqualmie Valley School District (SVSD) is joining the
other 14,885 school districts throughout the United States in celebrating
January as "School Board Recognition Month."
SVSD's members are Becky Jorgensen, Kristy Sullivan,
Rick Krona, Rudy Edwards and David Reed.
"These men and women volunteer countless hours of unpaid time
not only providing the best possible education for our 4,350-plus students,
but also serving as the corporate board of directors for one of our
community's largest employers," said
Superintendent Dr. Rich McCullough.
A special reception will be held at the Administrative Office
Boardroom on Thursday, Jan. 13, at 7:30 p.m. as part of the regular board of
directors' meeting.
"Even though we are making a special effort in January to show
appreciation for our school board members, we recognize their
contributions reflect a year-round effort on their part," McCullough said. "They
are dedicated individuals who are committed to the continuing success of
our students and schools."
