budget report and final revenue forecasts for 2001;


estimates cash balances for next year.


Oct 18-19 _ City Council workshops on budget,


5-9 p.m. in council chamber.


Oct. 26 _ Mayor completes preliminary budget


with message and files it with the city administrator. Copies


of the preliminary budget are available to the public.


Budget hearing notices for the preliminary and final


budget are published.


Nov. 13 _ Public hearing on 2001 preliminary budget


and on amendments to 2000 budget.


Nov. 22 _ Council Finance Committee makes


final adjustments to budget.


Nov. 27 _ Final public hearing on proposed 2001 budget.


City Council sets property tax levies at regular meeting.


Dec. 11 _ Adoption of 2001 budget.
