Giving tree: The Snoqualmie Department of Public Safety sponsored a Christmas Giving

Tree during the holiday season to benefit underprivileged children. It was the first year for

the department's giving tree, which helped about 35 youths. Snoqualmie Elementary School

and Children's Services of Sno-Valley provided the names of the children and an accompanying

wish list for each child. Local residents bought about three gifts for each child, and the

department's school resource officers distributed the gifts. Posing with the Christmas Giving Tree are:

standing, left to right, Officer Kim Stonebraker, Sgt. Derek Kasel and Director of Public Safety

Don Isley; kneeling, left to right, Becky Munson, records technician, and Liz Luizzo, confidential

administrative assistant to the director.
