Unicyclists pedal past cultural differences

SNOQUALMIE VALLEY - Ryan Woessner of Minnesota enjoyed a rare moment on the morning of Monday, July 22. Most of his fellow unicyclists attending the North American Unicycling Championships and Convention (NUACC) were in Issaquah for the day's events, leaving one of the primary sites for the tournament, Mount Si High School, open.

So Woessner and his partner, 12-year-old Amy Shields, also of Minnesota, and friend Iris Stratmann of Germany showed up early to get in some practice.
