NORTH BEND - A decision on whether to approve AF Evans Development Inc.'s 258-unit apartment complex has been delayed until September after North Bend City Council members cited concerns with a proposed buffer to the project and an interlocal agreement with the Sallal Water Association.

On Tuesday, July 23, council members Ed Carlson, Bill Wittress and Mark Sollitto voted to continue deliberations on the AF Evans master site plan at the council's Sept. 3 meeting.

They also voted at the same meeting to postpone ratifying an interlocal agreement between the city and the Sallal Water Association, which would provide water service to the development. Granting building permits for the project is contingent on signing the interlocal agreement.
