SNOQUALMIE VALLEY - North Bend joined Snoqualmie last week as the latest areas King County investigators are searching for the remains of Green River homicide victims.

Investigators with King County's Green River Task Force searched an area around the south fork of the Snoqualmie River off North Bend Way on Sept. 4. Detective Kathleen Larson said nothing of "evidentiary value" was found. Although four victims of the Green River Killer were found in the 1980s in the North Bend area, investigators would not say what led them to search the site last week.

Some human remains were found in an area near Southeast 96th Street in Snoqualmie on Aug. 30. There has been no confirmation yet whether those remains belong to a Green River victim.

Gary Ridgway of Auburn is charged with seven counts of aggravated first-degree murder in the case.
