District generator fires up on Fridays

At the end of every week, the Snoqualmie Valley School District makes sure it has the power to get through an emergency.

Every Friday at 7 a.m. a generator at the district's administration building on Silva Avenue in Snoqualmie is fired up. The district's operations supervisor, Carl Larson, said the generator, which runs the Friday diagnostic check one hour before the district opens, would supply power to the district's vital operations in case of a power outage.
