FALL CITY - A Snoqualmie man died last week on State Route 202 (SR 202) after his motorcycle veered into oncoming traffic.

According to a Washington State Patrol collision report, Jeffrey Broadwell, 42, lost control of his 1996 Honda motorcycle shortly before 9 a.m. on July 20 while riding in the eastbound lane of SR 202 near the Fish Hatchery Road intersection. Broadwell crossed the center line and was struck by a pickup truck in the westbound lane. Broadwell also struck a second vehicle.

Broadwell was wearing a helmet but died at Harborview Medical Center at 3 p.m. The drivers of the other two vehicles, who were both wearing seat belts, were not injured.

Washington State Patrol spokesperson Kelly Spangler said the accident is still under investigation, but it appears that Broadwell was going too fast to properly negotiate a turn in the road.

It is still not known whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
