Work experience: 2004-2006, deputy city manager and city attorney for Covington; 1982-2004, private Renton attorney specializing in commercial, real estate and municipal law.

Education: Graduate of University of Puget Sound School of Law; graduate of Western Washington University with business management degree.

Family: Wife Traci (elementary-school music teacher); daughters Devon (high-school freshman) and Brittany (college freshman).

Volunteer activities: Member of Rotary Club of Covington, named 2005 Rotarian of the Year; volunteer with the Seafair Boat Club.

Extras: Wilson was born and raised in Seattle. Before the arrival of today's professional football, baseball and basketball teams, all there was in the city was Rainier baseball, hydro-planes and Huskies; Wilson grew up a fan of all three. "You never really lose that," he said.
