Family regroups after fire

Life has not yet returned to normal for the Walker family of North Bend, who lost their home in a Jan. 24 structure fire at the North Bend Mobile Home Park.

As the Walkers - mother LeAnn and children Darcy, 18, Kayla, 16, Emma, 5, and Bradley, 2 - search for a permanent residence, local organizations have spearheaded fundraising efforts to help the family.

LeAnn Walker said the family is moving out of the North Bend Motel and into new digs, house-sitting for the next few weeks until a family friend returns.

"Hopefully, by then we'll find someplace," she said.
