Dawn Angel had little to do but walk her dog Shadow and smile as an army of 50 volunteers refurbished her Wild-erness Rim home Saturday, April 28.

"It's awesome," Angel said, as a steady stream of volunteers tossed bramble and tree limbs into a dumpster already full a scant hour after work began. "To be on the receiving end of something like this, you can't even wrap your mind around it."

Angel's home is one of nine homes and two nonprofit facilities from Bothell and Kent to North Bend that Rebuilding Together Eastside will rehabilitate this year. The nonprofit agency will also help another two dozen families this year with

minor home repairs.

Rebuilding Together helps low-income elderly and disabled homeowners and families keep their homes in good condition.
