The man thought to have bilked a North Bend woman out of $500 by posing as a soldier down on his luck served time in jail and was ordered to pay thousands of dollars in fees and fines in Spokane and Kitsap counties for unrelated charges that he failed to register as a sex offender.

He was not charged for his alleged activities in North Bend nor for posing as a soldier.
