Valley food banks help feed the hungry

The Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays can be a time of need and hunger. Valley food banks are there to help.

As the weather gets colder and tight family budgets get diverted from food to heat and holiday items, area food banks see more families searching for food, said Gail Gergasko, coordinator of the Mount Si Helping Hand Food Bank at the North Bend Community Church.
