Unity Theater unites Christmas classics
October 2, 2008 · Updated 9:25 AM
North Bend's Unity Theater is bringing back a pair of Christmas favorites to liven up the Valley's holiday season this December.
Up first on Dec. 7 is a show titled "Christmas Classics with the Cascade Jazz Trio." The Unity Theater's own house band, The Cascade Jazz Trio, will perform a roster of classic Christmas jazz tunes, accompanied by The Snoqualmie Valley Dolls, a precocious quartet of local 10-year-old jazz singers.
The Cascade Jazz Trio has performed in the region since 2001 and features the musical talents of John Chmaj, Court Crawford and Brian Gmerek. The trio has recorded a pair of albums and routinely performs at the Unity Theater.
"They're just a wonderful band," said Gary Schwartz, Unity Theater director.
The two-hour show will be performed nightclub style, giving listeners a chance to relax at cafe tables and enjoy the show.
Christmas Classics with the Cascade Jazz Trio and The Snoqualmie Valley Dolls is a one-night-only show, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available in advance or at the door for $12.50.
