City considers new contract with Tribe

The Snoqualmie City Council will consider an agreement to provide police, fire and sewer service to Snoqualmie Tribe's property, including Casino Snoqualmie, at its Monday, Jan. 28, regular meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Snoqualmie Fire Station, 37600 Snoqualmie Parkway S.E.

The agenda item, which amends an older agreement between the City of Snoqualmie and the Snoqualmie Tribe entered in 2004, is now before the council's finance and administration committee and will be presented to the council for possible action.

The topics of the 2004 agreement include providing police, fire and emergency medical services to the Tribe's Snoqualmie Hills project and sewer utility service to the Tribe's initial reservation. The Snoqualmie Hills project includes Casino Snoqualmie, slated for completion this fall.
