New Snoqualmie utility rates take effect today

The city of Snoqualmie has increased water utility rates for customers receiving water, sewer, and storm water services. The rates are effective as of Tuesday July 1, and will be reflected on August 1 billing statements.

The increased revenue will fund projects to meet new state requirements and install, replace, or improve water, sewer, and storm water infrastructure and improve facilities.

Water utility rates in Snoqualmie have not been increased since March 1, 2012. A utility service study was recently conducted to ensure residential and commercial customers are paying rates that approximate the cost of providing utility services.

A summary of the new Snoqualmie water utility rates is posted on the city website at, located in the “Services and Utilities” web pages.
