King County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Fall City area Sunday afternoon, after a group of waders discovered a body in the Snoqualmie River.

Sheriff’s officers pulled the half-submerged body out of the water at about 4 p.m. Sunday, July 13, at the 4400 block of the Preston-Fall City Road.

As of press time, the King County Medical Examiner’s Office was working to examine the body, to find out whether it could be that of a 36-year-old Kirkland man who disappeared in the river on Monday, June 30 while tubing without a life jacket.

Due to fast, high waters, searchers were unable to recover his body at the time.
