A 38-year-old Carnation man has been accused of sexual misconduct with a 19-year-old female resident at the Echo Glen juvenile detention center in Snoqualmie.
Robert H. Fox, a part-time Echo Glen security staffer, was charged with first-degree custodial sexual misconduct Wednesday, July 2, in King County Superior Court.
Foxs alleged victim was serving a sentence at Echo Glen for residential burglary, forgery and theft.
According to court documents, the young woman told King County Sheriffs Department investigators that Fox started his shift on June 6 around 10:30 p.m., and entered her room several times that night. During his second visit, he took off her clothes and sexually assaulted her.
The young woman told fellow residents what happened, and one of them reported it to a counselor.
Officers arrested Fox on June 9. He has since been released from custody, and has no prior convictions.
Fox is slated for arraignment on Thursday, July 10.
